Assistant Teaching Professor, Biomedical Engineering

About the Role: As an Assistant Teaching Professor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in biomedical engineering, supervising senior design projects, and contributing to departmental and university service activities. Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biomedical engineering, including experimental laboratory techniques, biomaterials, and biomechanics
• Supervise senior design projects and contribute to departmental and university service activities
• Integrate safety practices into daily activities and commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies
• Contribute to the development of a sense of belonging and an equitable and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements:

• Earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a closely related field
• Teaching experience in experimental laboratory techniques, biomaterials, and/or biomechanics, or other BME core courses
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Broad knowledge of the field of biomedical engineering

Desirable Qualifications:

• Face-to-face and online teaching experience
• Teaching experience at the graduate level in area of expertise
• Interest and ability to conduct research
• Demonstrated success in working with persons from diverse backgrounds and creating a sense of belonging
