Key Responsibilities: Driving Commercialization Strategies and Profitability
As our ideal Director - Brand and Specialty Sourcing, you will be tasked with a broad range of responsibilities that will challenge your skills and expertise. Your primary focus will be on:
- Developing and executing commercialization strategies across all Cencora commercial segments and business units, with a keen eye on maximizing margin value and share growth.
- Collaborating closely with Strategic Accounts, Field Accounts, and other sales leaders to understand sell-side challenges, identify opportunities, and communicate value propositions effectively.
- Meeting with customers to ensure a deep understanding of the value derived from partnering with Cencora.
- Providing regular reporting on KPIs and commercialization opportunity results to various commercial segments.
- Streamlining sourcing activities and commercialization processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Developing analytical insights into enterprise-wide item-level profitability through tool enablement and process improvement.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for the implementation of brand and specialty franchises into APEX Profit Analyzer and leveraging APEX to streamline commercialization strategy identification and execution.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Commercialization Strategy and Execution
- Work closely with sales leaders and business unit sales leaders to understand sell-side challenges and goals, collaboratively develop innovative commercialization strategies, and effectively identify and communicate margin value and share growth opportunities.
- Meet with customers to ensure a clear understanding of the value that will be derived from doing business with Cencora.
- Provide regular reporting on KPIs to each of the commercial segments of commercialization opportunity results.
Process Improvement
- Develop analytical insights into enterprise-wide item-level profitability through tool enablement and process improvement.
- Collaborate with sourcing, finance, and sales to streamline the commercialization of buy-side to sell-side levers of brand and specialty franchises.
- Continually identify and assess other functional areas that can be candidates for process improvement.
Tool Enablement
- Understand current state process and requirements, with the result of developing future state vision.
- Function as the SME for the implementation of brand and specialty franchises into APEX Profit Analyzer.
- Leverage APEX to streamline commercialization strategy identification and execution.
What Your Background Should Look Like
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in business administration, marketing, sales, finance, or accountancy, typically acquired through a four-year bachelor's degree program. A consumer or pharmaceutical industry background is preferred. Key qualifications include:
- 10+ years of related experience, with 5+ years at a management level.
- Specific experience with Supply Chain, Finance, and SAP reporting is highly desirable.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with advanced presentation capabilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work remotely and drive results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and strategic directions.
- Strong data mining and analytical skills, with attention to detail and experience with ERP - SAP and data visualization tools.
- SQL coding experience and strong Microsoft Excel and Access capabilities are desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across a large organization and deliver performance through periods of significant change.
