Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Estate and Trust Department as an intern. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including estate and trust administration, tax return preparation, and fiduciary accounting. This internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in a high-demand area of tax and develop a broad range of skills that will help you achieve your career goals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review various types of fiduciary income tax returns, including gift tax returns
- Conduct tax research projects and analyze complex tax data
- Assist with special projects as assigned, including corporate and partnership tax returns
- Collaborate with our Estate and Trust Team to deliver exceptional client service
Requirements:
- Pursuing an accounting major with a minimum of 150 credit hours
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and a strong academic record
- Completion of intermediate accounting course(s) and some tax and/or audit course(s) by the time of internship
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong desire to learn and develop professionally, with a motivation to serve clients and be a team player
