Key Responsibilities: What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality, multisensory math instruction to 7th/8th-grade students in 25-55 minute sessions, primarily in the afternoons and evenings
- Assess student starting points using our game-centered assessment tools and curate personalized lesson plans using our templates
- Communicate student progress to parents through weekly email updates
- Participate in team meetings to share best practices, discuss challenging cases, and stay up-to-date on company developments
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to refine your skills and stay current with our multisensory math methodologies
Requirements: What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or a Math-Related Field such as Engineering
- At least 3+ years of teaching experience, preferably with students who have diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents and students
- A patient and adaptable approach, with a willingness to adjust to the unique needs and moods of each student
- The ability to teach in a fun, enthusiastic, and engaging way, using a range of multisensory techniques and resources
- A minimum commitment of 14 hours per week working with students, plus 7 hours of lesson planning and admin time (all paid)
- Availability to work primarily Monday-Thursday between 2 PM - 10 PM Central Time
Preferred Qualifications: Nice to Have
- Experience working with students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, or autism
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital resources
- A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest research and pedagogies in math education
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new software, technologies, and methodologies
