Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and directing the 8th Grade Girls' Basketball program
• Supervise students, enforcing district, school, league, and CHSAA rules and regulations
• Possess and demonstrate knowledge and skills in basketball, teaching advanced techniques to students
• Promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent Policies, and building and department procedures
• Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, colleagues, and the community, embracing diversity and inclusivity
• Prioritize safety in the workplace, following safety rules and reporting any concerns to the administration

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

• Hold a current certificate in First Aid/CPR or be willing to obtain
• Be a CDE licensed teacher or hold a valid Coaches registration with CHSAA
• Possess a current concussion certification from the NFHS or Children's Hospital Colorado
• Pass the CHSAA annual Coaches Exam

Preferred Qualifications

Previous coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or college level is highly preferred. Candidates with a background in basketball, either as a player or coach, will be given priority consideration.
