About the Role: Campus Immersion Tutor (C)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Campus Immersion Tutor (C) to join our team at Reve Preparatory Charter School in Houston, TX. As a Campus Immersion Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with students from diverse backgrounds, providing them with academic support and mentorship in a face-to-face environment. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to support students in various subjects, including Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading.

Essential Qualifications:

Eligibility to work in the United States with a valid Social Security Number.
Commitment to tutoring for the duration of the assignment, with the possibility of extension.
Reliable transportation and the ability to attend in-person tutoring sessions in a timely and consistent manner.
Ability to pass a background check.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt and relate to students from diverse backgrounds.
Technological savviness, including proficiency in email, texting, Slack, Google Sheets, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience, preferably with a certification from the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) or other state licensure.
Bilingualism in Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Experience working with students who are learning to speak English, with a demonstrated ability to adapt your teaching strategies to meet the needs of English language learners.
A degree in Education, STEM, or a related field, with a strong academic record and a passion for learning.
