About Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy
Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy is dedicated to providing patients with access to life-sustaining medications and support services. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be part of a team that makes a real difference in patients' lives. You'll work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure that medications are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone support to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, addressing complex customer needs and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and reviving benefits, and ensuring accurate entry of prescriptions into our pharmacy information system.
- Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
- Utilize superb communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners, ensuring that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers.
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude.
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
