About the Role
We are looking for an experienced educator with a background in teaching ELA, Reading, and Math, coaching teachers, delivering professional development, and analyzing data. As an Educational Consultant, you will be responsible for facilitating high-quality professional development, training, support, data analysis, and communicating consultatively with school teachers and leaders. You will work closely with our Director of Professional Learning, sales team, and other Curriculum Associates professionals to drive success and make a meaningful difference in the lives of educators and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate high-quality professional development, training, support, data analysis, and communicate consultatively with school teachers and leaders
- Work closely with the Director of Professional Learning, sales team, and other Curriculum Associates professionals to drive success
- Deliver professional learning courses to teachers, coaches, and leaders on how to effectively implement our products and impact classroom learning
- Provide tailored on-site support to teachers, coaches, and leaders, including lesson planning and pacing support, data analysis, and implementation guidance
- Engage in internal cycle of professional improvement and development, including being observed, receiving feedback, and being coached
- Track and submit detailed training notes, as well as complete all assignments in a timely manner
- Present a professional image at all times to customers and prospects
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree and at least 2+ years of experience in teaching ELA, Reading, and Math, coaching teachers, and providing professional development
- A strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for ELA, Reading, and Math for Grades K–8 (or comparable state standards)
- Fluency with using digital tools, including online assessments, and a high level of comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders
- Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Proven organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent computer and internet skills, including knowledge of Office programs and online meeting programs
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A Master's degree in Education or a related field
- Experience working with adult learners and applying principles of adult learning to professional development
- Knowledge of online meeting programs, such as Zoom or WebEx
- Experience working with educators and schools in Alabama or the surrounding region

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $35/hour to $65/hour, depending on the type of work you will be assigned to complete. We also provide compensation for professional learning delivery, internal training, travel time, and travel expenses. Additionally, you will have access to a range of perks and benefits, including:
