Our Co-Founders, hailing from the personal training industry, recognized the need for a more holistic approach to fitness and wellness. The Flexologist Role: Key Responsibilities and Expectations
As a Flexologist at StretchLab, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional one-on-one assisted stretch sessions and leading guided group stretching classes for our clients. Your primary focus will be on creating a welcoming and supportive environment, driving client engagement, and fostering a culture of wellness and flexibility. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering one-on-one assisted stretch sessions and group stretch classes for up to 6 clients, tailored to their individual needs and goals
- Encouraging and motivating clients throughout stretch sessions to help them achieve their full potential
- Building and maintaining a strong client base through sales, outreach, and exceptional customer service
- Managing client care by delivering a best-in-class stretching experience, updating client notes consistently, and booking client's weekly recurring appointments
- Ensuring the safety of clients by enforcing proper stretch techniques and adhering to StretchLab policies and safety rules
- Attending staff meetings and required educational presentations to stay up-to-date on the latest industry developments and best practices
- Assisting Sales Associates and General Manager with studio tours and sales as needed
- Maintaining a strong social media presence to promote client membership and retention
- Cleaning and maintaining all equipment to ensure it's available for client use at any given time
Requirements and Qualifications: What We're Looking For
To succeed as a Flexologist at StretchLab, you'll need to possess a unique blend of skills, experience, and passion for the fitness industry. We're looking for individuals who:
- Have a background as a Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, Physical Therapist, or Pilates or Yoga Instructor
- Possess a fitness certification and have experience working in a fitness/health environment where you provided hands-on training with clients
- Have a passion for stretching, mobility, and flexibility, and a love for the boutique fitness environment
- Excel in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a positive and welcoming environment for clients
- Are reliable, professional, and adhere to our attendance policies
- Are available to complete our 3-day Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online tutorials and 3 days of in-person/hands-on training
Preferred Qualifications: Nice to Have
While not essential, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- Previous experience in sales or client-facing roles
- Knowledge of stretching and flexibility techniques beyond the basics
- Experience working with diverse client populations and needs
- A strong social media presence and content creation skills
