Key Responsibilities
- Programming: Facilitate parent-child interactive activities in our core programs, including Gymboree classes, Music classes, and Arts classes. Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging, and we provide all the necessary materials and training to ensure your success.
- Teaching: Teach a minimum of two birthday parties per month, and be responsible for delivering high-quality programs that meet the needs of our customers.
- Sales/Customer Service: Be responsible for knowing and achieving sales goals, and use your knowledge of our programs to provide information and sell enrollments, merchandise, birthday parties, and special events to new and existing customers.
- Operations: Work with our online database management system, CARE, to manage customer data and track sales performance. Attend designated staff meetings and trainings, and maintain site standards, including cleaning, stocking, and pricing of merchandise.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
While prior experience is not necessary, we are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and traits:
- Experience working with children: Prior experience working with children newborn to 5 years is preferred, but not required.
- Group leadership skills: Solid group leadership skills are essential, as you will be working with groups of children and parents.
- Sales experience: Sales experience is a plus, as you will be responsible for achieving sales goals.
- Customer service skills: You must be customer service oriented, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with parents and children.
- Team player: You must be a team player, with a positive and supportive attitude.
- Physical appearance: You must have a clean and professional appearance, as you will be working with children and representing our brand.
- Outgoing and enthusiastic: You must be outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative, with a passion for working with young children.
- Music background: Candidates must possess a music background to teach Gymboree Music classes.
