We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Support Representative to join our Patient Customer Service team in our Revenue Cycle Management Division.
About the Role
As a Customer Service Support Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by providing empathetic and solutions-focused support to patients, doctor's offices, and private insurance carriers. You'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to resolving patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to a high volume of inbound calls from patients, doctor's offices, and private insurance carriers, providing accurate and timely information to resolve inquiries and concerns.
- Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances, ensuring that patients receive the support they need to manage their financial obligations.
- Utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone, demonstrating expertise and knowledge of Labcorp's services and procedures.
- Maintain performance goals and metrics, ensuring that you're meeting or exceeding expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Become proficient with processes and procedures after completing a structured training program, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in medical and/or call center environment a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide solutions-focused support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in navigating multiple computer screens and applications, with alpha-numeric data entry skills.
- Dedicated work-from-home space with a reliable internet connection (at least 50 Mbps download speed) and the ability to connect equipment to a router/modem with an Ethernet cord.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or patient support role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Experience with call center software and technology, including CRM systems and phone systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex patient inquiries and concerns.
