Job Summary
As an In-Home Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA), you will play a vital role in supporting our patients with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance with personal hygiene, daily living activities, and household tasks.
- Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Drive safely and comply with traffic regulations when business travel is required, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Perform household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Notify the Agency Director immediately if any incidents or accidents occur, ensuring prompt and effective response.
Essential Qualifications
- Six months of experience in home care preferred, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of patients in the home setting.
- Successful completion of a competency evaluation, demonstrating your skills and abilities as a caregiver.
- Current CPR certification required, with the ability to respond to emergencies and provide basic life support.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation, enabling you to travel to patient homes as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNA, Aide, or Caregiver, with a strong foundation in patient care and support.
- Completion of a training program in home health aide or a related field, with a focus on patient-centered care and support.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patients' needs, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and make sound judgments in a variety of situations.
- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
