Our team of professionals is passionate about delivering exceptional results, and we are now seeking an experienced Night Shift Accessioner to join our dynamic team. As an entry-level laboratory professional, you will play a vital role in preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and timely results.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpacking and routing specimens to their respective staging areas, accurately identifying and labeling specimens, and packing and shipping specimens to proper testing facilities. You will also be responsible for meeting department activity and production goals, properly preparing and storing excess specimen samples, and performing data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and no relative experience is required, although 1-2 years of experience is preferred. You should also have previous medical or production experience, be comfortable handling biological specimens, and have the ability to accurately identify specimens. Additionally, you should have experience working in a team environment, strong data entry and organizational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and be proficient in MS Office.
While not essential, it would be desirable if you have experience working in a laboratory environment, have knowledge of specimen processing and accessioning, and have experience with data entry and organizational software. You should also be able to lift up to 30lbs and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
