Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to arenaflex, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise, including down-stocking merchandise and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service and support the team during peak periods.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, or cutting and bundling wood.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout, providing expert advice and recommendations to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Complete other duties as assigned, including maintaining a safe and clean working environment and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi-lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).
