Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and experienced Professor of Law to teach online classes, contribute to the development of our curriculum, and participate in the law school's governance and community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law, excellent teaching and mentoring skills, and the ability to adapt to our online learning environment. Key Responsibilities
- Teach online classes using Purdue Global's technology platforms, ensuring engaging and effective instruction that meets the needs of a diverse student population
- Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support to facilitate their academic success and professional growth
- Develop and maintain curriculum materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments, to ensure alignment with the law school's mission and objectives
- Participate in faculty governance, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote academic excellence and student success
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with developments in the field of law and online education to enhance teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve the law school's institutional mission and objectives, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess a Doctoral Degree (JD) in Law and have four to seven years of experience and/or training in the field of law, either in academia or practice. You must also be admitted to any U.S. bar and be in good standing (active or inactive) in all jurisdictions in which you have applied or been admitted to practice law. A strong record of teaching, mentoring, and academic leadership is essential, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Academic or practice experience in the field of law, with a focus on torts and academic support
- Prior teaching experience, preferably at the law school level, using technology to enhance instruction and student engagement
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, learn new skills, and work independently with a high degree of quality and professionalism
