Job Overview
The Store Analytics team is at the forefront of driving our Athlete Experience strategy and measurement, sitting at the intersection of stores, technology, data, fulfillment, and merchandising. As a Data Analyst II - Store Analytics, you will play a critical role in driving strategy, measurement, and valuation in stores, closely partnering with our Central Operations and Field teammates to uncover and unearth key insights to elevate our efficiency and productivity. Your work will focus on emerging, innovative technologies to drive efficiency and productivity in our stores, and you will thrive in a space where activating a seamless experience is currency.
Key Responsibilities
- Synthesize complex data sources into holistic narratives to address business opportunities and strategic direction, under supervision.
- Utilize existing reporting systems to create reports, deriving information from multiple sources, to develop a cohesive presentation of KPIs that is easy to understand.
- Perform and support detailed ad hoc, short-term, and mid-term analyses on quantitative and qualitative data to answer business questions and/or help inform strategic direction.
- Develop statistically sound test designs, with direction and training, to drive business outcomes.
- Utilize common tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, GCP, Excel), and/or vendor platforms (Facebook, Instagram, DV360) to query, join, extract, and manipulate raw data from disparate sources to tell a comprehensive story with key insights and recommended actions.
- Develop and deliver ad hoc reports and analyses to business stakeholders, with supervision, to drive business decisions.
- Support formal and informal training sessions with client groups to enable business stakeholders to answer questions via self-service tools such as Intera (internal BI tool) and PowerBI.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred in Economics, Statistics, Liberal Arts, or a Related Field.
- 1-3 Years of Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with SQL, R, Python, and BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI) is preferred.
- GCP or Azure Experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a retail or sports industry environment.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
