Key Responsibilities
- Indicate your availability to tutor in your profile, without minimum or maximum requirements
- Review curriculum materials and lesson content to prepare for tutoring sessions
- Tutor students virtually in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting, building relationships and supporting their learning experience
- Commit to your scheduled tutoring sessions to provide a consistent experience for students
- Utilize online virtual tools and technology to deliver high-quality tutoring
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a Virtual Math Tutor with Littera Education, you'll need:
- Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity
- Relatively consistent ongoing calendar availability from 8am-9am EST, 3-4 days a week
- Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills
- High comfort level with online virtual tools and technology
- Desktop or laptop using the Chrome browser, a video camera, and a reliable/stable internet connection
- Residency in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, but college students with 1+ year of relevant experience are welcome to apply
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching or tutoring math to middle school students
- Strong knowledge of upper elementary and early middle school math concepts
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
