We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Group X Instructor to lead and inspire our members in a dynamic group fitness environment. As a Group X Instructor, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional fitness classes, providing guidance and support to our members, and promoting a positive and inclusive fitness community.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading group fitness classes, educating members on various aspects of fitness, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable workout experience. You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver group fitness classes based on industry standards and approved formats
- Instruct participants on effective workout methods, proper techniques, and modifications
- Provide verbal instructions, demonstrate exercises, and identify different muscle groups
- Coach and motivate class participants to achieve fitness goals and monitor for signs of injury or overexertion
- Interact with participants, answer questions, and introduce new participants to the class
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and represent Gold's Gym in a professional manner
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current CPR/AED certification and basic first aid training (hands-on certification required)
- Minimum of six months teaching experience in a group exercise environment
- Nationally recognized Group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, ACSM
- Verifiable proof of specialized skill/training (e.g. Yoga, Pilates, Body Pump, Body Attack)
- Demonstrated knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies, choreography, and safe transitional movement patterns
- High degree of energy, physical fitness, and endurance
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
