Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Math Tutor to join our team of educators at TPAPT, a national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs. As a Math Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by providing personalized in-person tutoring sessions, creating customized lesson plans, and helping them achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person tutoring sessions to students preparing for the SSAT/ISEE/HSPT exams, focusing on math subjects
- Design and execute tailored lesson plans to meet individual students' needs and learning styles
- Administer practice exams, evaluate student progress, and adjust lesson plans accordingly
- Collaborate with students' families to keep them informed of progress and provide regular updates
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the SSAT/ISEE/HSPT exams and modify lesson plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records of session details, scores, and student progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Education, Mathematics, or related field)
- Experience in tutoring, teaching, or test preparation, with a focus on math subjects
- Past experience teaching the SSAT/ISEE/HSPT exams is highly desirable, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with students and families
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as well as the ability to work independently and remotely as needed
- Self-motivated and committed to helping students succeed, with a passion for education and a growth mindset
