We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Chat/Text Crisis Specialist to join our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention team. As a vital member of our team, you will provide emotional support and connect individuals in crisis with essential resources, making a meaningful difference in their lives.
About the Role:
- Shift Details: Sunday - Wednesday, 6:00 pm - 2:30 am CST (3rd shift)
- Location: Remote work opportunity
- Compensation: Competitive salary ($19.10 - $26.80 per hour)

Job Summary:
In this critical role, you will handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress. Your expertise and empathy will help ensure the safety and well-being of those in crisis, and you will be supported by our team of professionals who share your passion for delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments to individuals in crisis
- Conduct follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide
- Connect individuals with community resources and services to support their mental health needs
- Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings to ensure best practices and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist)
- 6 months to 1 year of related crisis experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain confidentiality
