Role Overview – Immediate Substitute Teacher (Remote)
We are urgently seeking qualified substitute teachers who can step in on short notice to cover classes for grades Pre‑K through 8 and a variety of specialty subjects, including Spanish, Music, Art, Physical Education, and STEM. This role is primarily remote, allowing you to deliver instruction via our secure virtual learning platform while still complying with Archdiocesan standards for classroom management, curriculum alignment, and student safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Instruction: Implement daily lesson plans created by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring alignment with state standards and Archdiocesan curriculum frameworks.

Essential Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; degree should be in Education, a related field, or a subject‑specific discipline.
- Archdiocesan Certification: Must hold a valid Virtus certification, satisfy the Archdiocese’s code of conduct, and pass required fingerprinting and background checks.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience working with students in grades PK‑8, either as a classroom teacher, aide, or certified substitute.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating virtual learning environments (e.g., Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and utilizing digital instructional tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex concepts in an age‑appropriate manner.
