This is a remote position.
As a Senior Full Stack Back-End/DB Developer with expertise in AI and data-driven solutions, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing backend systems and databases that support innovative business processes. Your contributions will ensure seamless integration of data, enhance decision-making capabilities, and drive technological advancements. This role requires a solid understanding of backend development, database architecture, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services and database solutions.
- Utilize advanced ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading into Snowflake.
- Manage and optimize Snowflake for data integration and analytics, particularly with data from Datasembly.
- Collaborate with the AI Developer to facilitate data transfer between Snowflake and Vertex AI.
- Use Cloud SQL to support API development and ensure seamless data flow.
- Work with the API Developer to integrate backend services with front-end applications.
- Develop and maintain reporting and analytics services using Cloud SQL.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure robust testing and validation of backend systems.
- Implement data pipelines to support AI and machine learning model deployment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience with Snowflake and Cloud SQL, including ETL processes and database optimization.
Strong expertise in backend development, API integration, and database architecture.
Familiarity with Datasembly data or similar datasets is a plus.
Experience collaborating with AI/ML teams and understanding data requirements for model development.
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL, with a focus on backend development.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS is a bonus.
Passion for leveraging data to drive innovation and support AI/ML initiatives.
