About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager on our GCP team, you'll be responsible for leading the innovation and development strategy for Generative AI and Machine Learning. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product development from conception to launch, ensuring that our products meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the direction of our products and ensuring that they have a significant impact on the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-lead the innovation and development strategy for Generative AI and Machine Learning, staying up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field.
- Apply your judgment to determine if, where, and how to apply AI/ML to products, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate, fine-tune, and maintain models, including gathering and preparing data as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to build, evaluate, and deliver critical features that drive product success.
- Lead product integrated developments to improve quality, driving a culture of excellence within the team.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in product management, technical expertise, and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have:
- A four-year certification or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in product management, leading or contributing to the development of complex products.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in building and delivering technical products, with a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle.
- Experience with Generative AI, responsible AI, and real-time data processing, with a strong understanding of the latest advancements in these areas.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Experience with AI/ML quality assessment and improvement, including balancing tuning strategies with cost/benefit trade-offs.
- Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit, and other deep learning frameworks, with a strong understanding of their applications.
- Experience using collaborative journal-based workflows (e.g., Jupyter) for prototyping and data sharing, driving a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- A proven track record of driving product excellence and collaboration, leading a portfolio of simultaneous projects that range from short-term critical feature launches to long-term research initiatives.
- The ability to charm enterprise clients and understand enterprise roles, driving business growth through strategic partnerships.
