As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in helping us respond to the SLF crisis and provide essential information and resources to concerned citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first-line point of contact for external stakeholders interested in reporting a Spotted Lanternfly sighting or seeking additional information and resources.
- Respond to and refer customer questions and needs, providing appropriate responses and services in a timely and professional manner.
- Investigate unusual situations or concerns and assist in problem resolution.
- Operate various equipment and computer systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Assist with required reporting systems to help concerned citizens adapt to the presence of the SLF and reduce its economic impact.
- Maintain the overall operation and professional image of the customer-focused call center.
- Correspond with a diverse customer base by phone, video conference, email, or regular mail.
- Ensure quality of all call center services and work closely with the college SLF call center manager to meet stakeholder needs.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with Spanish being a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clientele.
- Ability to work as an active member of a team and be very organized.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Customer service experience, either in a call center or other related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sales, client management, information technology, or basic entomology.
- Familiarity with the Spotted Lanternfly and its impact on the environment.
- Previous experience working with a diverse customer base.
