Job Overview
As a Teacher Assistant in our district, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students in the classroom. Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic, social, and behavior support to students in the classroom and throughout the school
- Assist teachers with lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities
- Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
- Support students with special needs, English language learners, and students who require additional academic support
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure student success
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or administrator
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students. The following qualifications and requirements are preferred:
- Substitute Missouri Teacher Certification (minimum)
- Missouri Teacher certification- Elementary 1-6 (preferred)
- Experience working with children in a school setting (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package for this role, including:
- Starting hourly rate of $15.37 (sub certified) or $16.62 (teacher certified), depending on education, certification, and experience
