About the Cradle-to-Career Data System
California's Cradle-to-Career Data System is a pioneering initiative that brings together existing data from early learning, K-12, college, and career sectors to address barriers to opportunity and improve outcomes for Californians. As a Cloud Architect on this project, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing a cloud-first approach to data management, leveraging modern data practices and software engineering principles to drive value and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and operate the Cradle-to-Career Data System's cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with data teams to enable efficient and effective data management, analytics, and visualization.
- Communicate technical and architectural trade-offs clearly to various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud platforms and technologies that are fit for purpose, with a focus on simplicity, elegance, and minimal complexity.
- Support the team in testing and implementing cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
