Key Responsibilities
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to engage students and cater to different learning styles.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, respectful, and inclusive.
- Supervise students to ensure their safety and well-being, taking necessary precautions to protect them, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Assess student progress regularly, maintaining accurate records and providing progress reports as required.
- Diagnose learning disabilities and seek support from district specialists when needed.
- Implement district policies and rules, developing classroom rules and procedures that promote a positive and productive learning environment.
- Make yourself available to students and parents for educational purposes outside the instructional day.
- Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers, evaluating their performance in collaboration with department heads.
- Participate in staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in the appropriate subject area.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience teaching foreign languages in a diverse educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of subject content and curriculum design.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.

Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary for this role is $48,700, with additional Referendum funding available for the next four years, starting at $5,400 for the 23-24 school year. The salary range for this position is $48,700 to $77,900 per year. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
