About the Position
We're looking for a talented educator to fill a full-time, 1.0 LTS Grade 3 Teacher position starting on November 20, 2023, and continuing through February 16, 2024. As a Grade 3 Teacher with Rochester Public Schools, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state and district standards
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Foster a love of learning by incorporating innovative and engaging teaching methods
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators to ensure seamless collaboration
- Participate in grade-level meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional strategies
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the district and state
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A current, appropriate Minnesota teaching license
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Experience in teaching Grade 3 or a similar age group
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:
- A master's degree in education or a related field
- Experience with diverse student populations and differentiated instruction
- Knowledge of technology integration and educational software
