Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Math Instructor/Tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for our students. As a Math Instructor/Tutor at Mathnasium of Rockridge, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels, from elementary school to high school, and help them achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth
Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value
Teach in-center using the Mathnasium Method, which includes individualized instruction in a group setting
Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance
Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring that our center is a safe and welcoming space for all students
Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of our team and center

Essential Qualifications

A passion for math and working with students, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on their academic and personal lives
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles
Ability to balance various ongoing tasks, prioritizing multiple responsibilities and managing time effectively
Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and growth

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with students of all ages and skill levels, with a strong understanding of different learning styles and needs
Knowledge of the Mathnasium Method, with experience teaching math in a individualized instruction setting
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
