Role Summary
As a General Warehouse Laborer, you will be responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, managing raw materials, and ensuring the efficient production and packaging of products. This contract-to-hire position is available for 6 months, with the potential for long-term career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate one or multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment, including filling, capping, sealing, labeling, and packaging products
- Move raw materials to the production line and remove damaged products or supplies as needed
- Conduct production, package, and flavor changeovers, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient production processes
- Perform product inspection processes and basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
- Conduct minor repairs to keep production equipment running efficiently
- Lift, carry, and push/pull cases weighing 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly over a long work period
- Stoop, crawl, and crouch over and under conveyors as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to good housekeeping practices
- Keep daily records of downtime and machine operations, and expedite repairs to the line in collaboration with maintenance
- Work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere, collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure product inspection processes
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and push/pull cases weighing 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly over a long work period
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Reliable and team-oriented, with a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving production goals
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and equipment maintenance
- Certifications or training in a related field, such as OSHA or forklift operation
