Job Summary: As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences, maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards, and caring for the pets in our store. You'll work collaboratively with our team to drive sales, promote products and services, and participate in special events and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with pet parents and their pets to deliver positive experiences
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
• Care for store-owned pets, including feeding, watering, and cleaning habitats
• Support weekly price changes and monthly promotional pricing
• Stage and sort new products to match sales floor planners
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, and live pets
• Administer store-owned pet medications as directed by a veterinarian
• Promote special events and activities, such as adoption weekends and charity events

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility in schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure

Essential Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Stand, walk, climb a ladder, and use hands to handle, feel, hold, write, etc.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with moderate to high levels of noise
