Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate K-12 Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will work with students in grades K-12, providing support and accommodations to help them access the curriculum and achieve academic success. This is a remote opportunity, offering a flexible work environment and competitive compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educators to create a comprehensive support system for students
- Provide direct instruction and support to students, both individually and in small groups
- Assess student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and intervention plans
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and needs
Essential Qualifications
- Valid Ohio teaching license with a specialization in special education
- Experience working with students in grades K-12, preferably in a special education setting
- Strong knowledge of special education law, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in special education or related field
- Experience with differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Familiarity with assistive technology and educational software
- Certification in a specific area of special education, such as autism or learning disabilities
