Key Responsibilities
- Teach Language Arts to middle school students, following the curriculum and instructional plans developed by the regular classroom teacher.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment, promoting social-emotional learning and academic achievement.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators, ensuring seamless collaboration and support.

Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field.
- A valid teaching certificate or eligibility for certification in the state of Connecticut.
- Experience in teaching Language Arts to middle school students, or a related subject area.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Master's degree in Education, English, or a related field.
- Experience with differentiated instruction, technology integration, and project-based learning.
- Knowledge of educational technology tools and learning management systems.
- Previous experience as a substitute teacher or in a related educational role.
