About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer II – Live Chat Backend Development and Team Leadership at blithequark, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our Live Chat product. You'll work closely with our team of engineers to build scalable, performant, and reliable systems that can handle large volumes of data and traffic.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Designing and developing backend systems using Java 11, Dropwizard framework, and Kafka for processing large volumes of data
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance and support to help them grow in their careers
- Participating in code reviews and ensuring that all code is clean, maintainable, and follows best practices
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development and making recommendations for improvements to our systems and processes
- Working closely with our product team to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
- Collaborating with our DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring of our systems
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
- 5+ years of experience working on backend systems, ideally with a focus on analytics, data infrastructure, or reporting products
- Strong experience with Java 11, Dropwizard framework, and Kafka
- Excellent understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and building scalable data pipelines or APIs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- A passion for writing clean, maintainable code and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
- Experience with mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance and support
Preferred Qualifications
