About the Role
In this hybrid role, you will have the flexibility to balance your time between our Amsterdam office and remote work. As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead and manage high-impact localization programs and projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze and translate business, quality, and technical requirements into actionable plans. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the global operational strategy and execution of functional efforts within the EMEA Globalization team. You will ensure that the operational infrastructure is in place to deliver exceptional content, marketing, gaming, and product localization for the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and optimize business workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing operational strategies in the product and media globalization spaces.
- Develop and implement future localization investment strategies to enhance language quality and coverage across multiple globalization verticals (product, content, marketing, gaming).
- Bridge the gap between global functional and operational efforts and EMEA Globalization teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with product, analytics, and insights teams to drive scaled experimentation, generating insights to inform recommendations and roadmaps.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success, experimental results, and ongoing operational performance, sharing progress with the business and leadership.
- Establish strong relationships with globalization management and team members to facilitate the adoption of new operational models in EMEA.
- Define and implement scaled processes tailored to the diverse regional content landscape in EMEA, ensuring that our localization efforts meet the unique needs of each market.
- Stay updated on emerging media and localization technologies, positioning yourself as an expert and critical resource across multiple disciplines.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of technical, business, and leadership skills. The following requirements and qualifications are essential:
- Expertise in media (subtitle/dubbing/gaming) and/or software localization, with a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges involved in global content delivery.
- 8+ years of consulting or large-scale, multidisciplinary business program management experience, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results.
- Knowledge of localization and globalization tools, workflows, and technology, as well as other business areas such as product development, finance, and technology management.
- Proficiency in creative problem-solving, technical solutions, and engineering practices, with knowledge of continuous improvement or Lean methodology being advantageous.
- Ability to think globally and act locally, with deep experience in EMEA and a strong understanding of the region's diverse cultural, linguistic, and regulatory landscape.
- Experience managing and leveraging large data sets to drive performance improvements and process optimization, with excellent financial modeling and analysis skills.
- Outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
