As a Manager, Commercialization Engineer at The Coca-Cola Company, you will play a pivotal role in driving our transformation goals by leading the management, implementation, and execution of technical projects across our internal and external manufacturing locations. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with customers, software development teams, hardware teams, and product owners to identify and resolve issues, develop project plans, and deliver new products and technologies to the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Commercialization, Productivity, and Strategic projects across internal and external manufacturing locations to deliver new products and technologies, developing and managing scopes, budgets, schedules, and risks for all projects.
- Identify, develop, and lead Productivity, Continuous Improvement, Sustainability, and Quality projects across internal and external manufacturing locations, driving initiatives that lower supply chain costs and improve product affordability.
- Lead technical aspects in the evaluation, troubleshooting, and implementation of new products and packages, collaborating with market development teams and bottlers to ensure successful product launches.
- Collaborate with technical teams in the execution of new technologies, processes, and innovative solutions, providing technical operations support for promotions and line extensions.
- Drive productivity initiatives across the system, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and influencing the implementation of best practices.
- Contribute to the development of business plan objectives and work collaboratively to ensure timely execution of technical supporting activities.
- Support package and product quality, co-leading efforts to minimize risk to the company and brand, ensuring compliance with technical policies and influencing producing locations to invest in operational improvements.
- Review prototypes, define improvements, and align with producing locations on implementation, establishing necessary investments where needed.
- Coordinate and lead technical projects requiring cross-system and cross-functional cooperation to deliver innovations in products, packaging, and promotions.
- Work with internal and external manufacturing sites to deliver initiatives and projects, ensuring successful execution and outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company, with a proven track record of leveraging technical knowledge to drive competitive advantage. Experience in the food, dairy, beverage/brewery, or personal care industries is highly preferred.
- The ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions, working independently and taking corrective action as needed.
- A detail-oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with a passion for quality processes and fluency in software QA metrics, operations, and statistics.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver strategies for new projects, products, and technologies.
- Experience from concept to launch using a defined New Product Development (NPD) or change management process.
- Strong project management experience, with the ability to define and lead projects, direct, and motivate project teams.
- A demonstrated track record of identifying and reducing to practice technologies for consumer-packaged goods companies to solve challenging business needs.
- The ability to refine solutions and manage internal and external partners' expectations against technical and business success criteria, with limited available resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, XLS, PPT, Project).
- 80% travel requirements, visiting manufacturing sites and vendor locations.
Essential Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Waterfall Project Management, Continual Improvement Process, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 14001, Change Management, Quality Control (QC), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Production Management, and Production Processes.
- Understanding of Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
